CC Trading’s team possesses multi-billion dollar commodity trading experience globally across a wide variety of commodities, physical structures, and financial structures. Climate Commodities has married digitization, automation, and deep domain knowledge of commodity trading to develop new markets for climate smart commodities by delivering highly structured offtake and feedstock contracts to its customers.

Products include but are not limited to technology performance solutions, counterparty credit risk management, host risk, tax credit recapture, warranty obligations, and commissioning risk.

CC Processing retains capabilities across the critical minerals and materials value chain with a particular focus on graphite products, lithium products, white fused alumina, and brown fused alumina. CC Processing is continually onboarding strategic partners ranging from host corporates, host jurisdictions, original equipment manufacturers, and other related stakeholder in the critical minerals and materials space.

CC Renewable Power & Alternative Fuels operates EnergyLink Decarbonization Solutions, which provides decarbonization solutions to corporates, municipalities, educational institutions, non-profits and foundations, asset managers, and allocators. Our core competencies lie in the solar and energy storage area, but we have recently built out capabilities in green hydrogen, blue hydrogen, renewable natural gas, and waste to value. We also provide development capital to project developers in the aforementioned areas on a selected basis.

Climate Commodities' platform senior leadership is dually comprised of former hedge and private equity fund managers and former business operators spanning physical commodity trading, mineral processing & refining, renewable power & alternative fuels, transportation & logistics, insurance, & reinsurance. Climate Commodities was founded by Benjamin Banwart, Nicholaus Rohleder, and Julian Tung. Mr. Banwart previously served as an Energy & Commodities Portfolio Manager at the $60 billion dollar New York-based hedge fund, Millennium Management, and as an Commodities & Energy Portfolio Manager at Castleton Commodities (Louis Dreyfus), one of the largest global commodity merchants. Mr. Rohleder has served as the Chief Investment Officer of a private family office focused on Energy, Commodities, & Reinsurance and as an Energy, Commodities & Reinsurance Portfolio Manager prior to Climate Commodities. Mr. Rohleder is an Adjunct Finance Professor at the University of Pennsylvania, University of Pennsylvania alumni, Columbia University alumni, and former Forbes 30 Under 30 honoree. Mr. Tung is a former First Lieutenant in the Singaporean military and holds two degrees from Columbia University.
